I never imagined being one to write on a blog, I mean who reads these after all, or why would they read them? Well a LOT has happened in our lives in the last almost year and there is just no way to get it out to everyone. It may just be for my (and maybe Shawn's own sanity) to keep an online type journal of our lives. So, what's new in our lives?
1. We got married 11.18.06 (best day of our lives!!) What an amazing day!!
2. Jenni got into PA school at Pacific University and moved to Hillsboro OR in May, Shawn being the incredibly supporting husband stayed behind, started his degree (Deans honor role!!!) and waited patiently to move out to OR.
3. Summer: Shawn's dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and has had a successful recovery from surgery to remove it!
4. Shawn moved to Hillsboro at the end of September and is currently jumping through the bureaucratic hoops to get a job as a medic in Vancouver, WA. (Don't even get either one of us started on the hoops - Shawn is such a trooper.) He also taking a full load of classes both here and online and helping Jenni in anyway he can!! How does he do it?!
5. Cubby has adjusted and loves that Shawn is finally here (so he can play a little rougher) and maybe he won't have to be "on guard" all the time. He started school to learn to be a wee bit calmer around other puppies, but he really just loves to play. He also had a successful day at the new dog park that opened here and obeyed very well. (He's also learning to not be so timid around the hoola hoop.
So that about sums it up for the Zupfer family, for now.
